CPN Teams
Programs/Education Team
- Generally oversees all programs for CPN
- Develops (with input from all sources) new program ideas
- Drafts, gets approval of, and enforces standards with respect to
CPN programs (hosting, attendance, etc.)
- Secures convenient program locations, and seeks acceptable hosts
- Administers CPN special interest groups (SIGs)

Membership Team
- Responsible for recruitment and retention of members
- Responsible for conceiving, researching, and implementing member
benefits
- Works closely with Outreach/Advocacy and Programs/Education Teams
to ensure that their efforts support membership growth
- Responsible for the Prospective Member Orientation
Communications Team
- Oversees the CPN website
- Oversees the CPN newsletter (paper and electronic version)
- Oversees the CPN listservs
- Oversees the CPN chat room (setting up discussion topics, inviting
guest speakers, etc.)

Outreach and Advocacy Team
The Outreach and Advocacy Team is responsible for overseeing media
relations and CPN's role in public policy debate, if any. The purpose
of outreach is threefold: to build the membership and reputation of
CPN, to work toward public acceptance of polyamory, and to advocate
against discrimination against poly people in employment, housing,
religion, law, etc. Specific activities include:
- Maintaining lists of media contacts;
- Developing and training public spokespeople for CPN;
- Developing a media presence for the organization;
- Developing and maintaining lists of educational materials about
polyamory;
- Developing and collecting materials on legal and political issues
important to poly people;
- Tracking public controversies about polyamory;
- Developing CPN positions on public issues;
- Doing outreach to other organizations for coalition work and education;
- Other outreach approaches as appropriate.
